Gay women interested in creating an intriguing personal (sometimes known as a profile, or a personal profile) will want to follow a few simple guidelines. First, you should include a photo. Unless you're very protective of your anonymity, and don't want anyone to possibly know that you're gay, you should attach photos of yourself with your personal. Frankly, the profiles that don't have photos attached are usually passed over by other members, no matter how well-written or interesting they are.

For gay women, photos can be especially revealing. Lesbians and bisexual girls range from the very masculine to the utterly feminine. Your photos will inform other girls of where you fall within this spectrum. Whether you're butch or soft butch, androgynous, femme or totally lipstick, the other members are going to want to know it.

Ideally, you'll include more than one photo. Look at profiles of other members, and notice how much more helpful and interesting it is when a girl includes several photos.
